  1. Do you even know what you are talking about? Don't EVER say anything bad about wolfhuskypups.com! I am a very SATISFIED buyer! We researched before purchasing from her. She was very informative and knows what she is doing! I now have 2 husky-wolves, one was bred to be a sled dog. We got our 2nd one through her. We were emailed pictures and videos daily! We even ran into one of her neighbors out here in Pennsylvania, and they verified everything we went through. You people make me sick! Don't post crap if you can't back it up! I would highly recommend their services, I would never buy from a pet store! No matter what breed! Wise up!

    2. I agree. I also have a husky/malamute from Wolfhuskypups.com, and yes, she may have little to no wolf in her but she is still a friendly, healthy, and beautiful animal. The people there were very helpful even after we got her home; we could always ask them for help on any trouble we ran into while raising her. If you don't believe us, just look at their letters from previous buyers. I know that's not bogus because my letter is featured there and new customers are encouraged to contact previous buyers; in fact, the parents of my dog had another litter and someone who was interested in getting a pup from that litter was referred to me and contacted me to ask about my dog's temperament, health, etc. As for the puppy-mill situation: many breeders on the site post pictures and videos of the dogs in their own home. Also, be aware that this is a group of breeders. There may be one or two breeders who are unethical and somehow passed the initial test for breeding ethics; if you want to condemn them, don't put the blame on the entire group because there are great breeders in there who will be more than happy to have you visit them and meet the parents and pups. Wolfhuskypups.com may not breed anything higher than low-content, but they do a good job with the dogs they sell!

    4. Stella you are proving the point of this page. You ended up with a malamute/husky pup and you were trying to find a wolf hybrid. Go to your vet and have your dogs dna tested. You people make me sick how you keep living in denial of how you really got ripped off and keep supporting these fake wolf hybrid breeders.

    5. Also, it is very easy to fake papers. These breeders should publish the true content of wolf in the pups they are selling. If they are low content, then state that up front and not a percentage higher like most fake breeders do.

    6. I found this site and now I am second guessing if i was robbed or not. Lol. So i bought my little guy from huskywolfpups or should i say the breeder of southern California part of that website named Kitt. (She was a nice lady, but the broker charges a additional $400-$500 more on top of the breeders price..) I have had a high wolf content dog as a kid. Best dog I've ever had. I have owned pit bulls to Hudge mastiffs. So i was looking for a wolamute now. A large breed that is indoor friendly.. I was looking for a mid content wolf. I drove to the breeders house. Cause I would never ship a dog and I wanted to meet my future puppies parents and breeder before I spill any more money. I met the grand parents and parents. U can tell the big and tall 130 pound grand pa was wolf and a little husky and the grand ma was wolf and a little bit malamute. So i asked the breeder what phenotype would u class my little guys parents? She had no idea about the science and DNA phenotypes. She said that my little guy is 71% Timberwolf 27% malmute 2% husky. ... now science and the way I know how science works. Would tell me that his parents both have to be high content wolf hybrids for my little guy to be a mid high content. But I could tell that he was more like a f3 or f4 phenotype. I could be wrong, I'm more of a history nutt. But in all he is a great dog and has the mid content nature and independent mind of his own. But what will dis credit or credit this breeder and this blog will be the DNA test I'm getting for him. I will post the results after i get them.. The truth will come out for at least one of theses breeders. To see if they are legitimate breeders of wolf hybrids or scam artists.. Or it will shows that people are discrediting every breeder on that site, when in actuality. It's just one or a couple of bad breeders on that site that should be shut down. Or maybe people are just hating cause they don't get accepted. . Time will tell. I'll be posting after the results..

  2. Add another, Renalee's Wolf World. I started a blog today with the title Renalee's Wolf World to get the word out there about her. I purchased a pup born September 12th that she claims is 75% but was since told there is no way he could be when he was born in the fall.He also has a defined mask and white socks. She refuses to show proof of this percentage claiming I want to use her Disney papers to breed and for $2500.00 I can have a copy which is b/s, I don't want to breed, why would I pay 2500 to see proof of what she claims. She also claims she has papers on the mother, not a Disney line but since I don't want to pay 2500 she has stated she won't share those either. She is just using this to hide behind. I have since learned what I should have known before I made this purchase and hope by putting her name out there, folks will at least do some investigating before they purchase a pup from her.

  3. I had bought a pup from Romo's ranch. He was able to show me proof that the mother and father were wolf hybrids. Not only that but He gave me their registration numbers as well so I can register mine and get the family blood line if I even wanted to. I am very satisfied with my pup. He even has some of the marking as a wolf as well. My husband had been doing his research for years. An so have I. You should back your stuff up with proof if you don't want people to buy from them. I did notice that romo's ranch did help other dogs find a new home as well. they were very nice to me. Didn't have any problems.

  4. Very true. Many deceptive breeders out there! I was sold a sable coated siberian husky from eyde's wolf hybrids. The dog has a pretty good temper and all, but, falsely advertised. I bought the dog knowing it wasn't wolf, but seeing the conditions he lived in angered me.

    1. I don't see how you can say that any animal was living in cruel conditions at Edeys place ,I have been there twice, both to her old home that she rented and to her new one that she owns, he animals are in excellent health , have very large enclosures and get regular vet care, Edye and her son make sure to spend time with each and every wolf dog every day, So what you are saying is nothing more than a bull faced lie !

  5. I purchased a pup from edyeswolfhybrids.com. I am very pleased with our pup. He is 4 months old and he is bigger than our 1 yr old husky. We feed both of them evo dog food.(raw food diet) I'm not sure about them being cruel or fake cause I got all his papers and his mothers registration number. He has many features of a wolf hybrid. Just like anything you buy, do your research...

  6. Jacks, Whitefang and Kimberly, I think it is you guys that need to wake up and do your research. While some of these breeders may take good care of their animals- THEY ARE LYING about the %/content of their animals. That is very dangerous and can cause a serious problem for real wolves/wolfdogs and dogs that are "wolfy" looking (which is most of what these breeders, such as wolf Husky Pups, Edyes and Romos are selling- "wolfy" looking DOG mutts) Most of these breeders don't even have wolfdog crosses, let alone the %/and content they are claming (98%, high % and high content wolfdogs- none of which any of them have). Papers mean nothing, "they have wolfy markings" and "we did our research" means absolutely nothing- especially when you are researching and listening to people that obviously do not have wolves/wolfdogs.

  8. I am looking to purchase a wolfdog and of course I know there are and will be people out there claiming to have a wolf hybrid mix but then they don't really. The dogs just look wolf like. So my question is how do I know for sure? and what are questions I should ask? Should I get the mother and father registration number? Would they even provide that for me? Then what do I do with it? If anyone could help me with the right steps for me to take in assuring that I will end up purchasing a wolf hybrid puppy.

  9. Wolves have black toe nails and their coats are a bit coarser than a dogs. The pup I got from starcross wolves is part wolf no doubt. But anyone who ever has had a dog should be able to tell difference, not hard to tell differences between them and regular dog.

  10. I was just googling pups plus wolf dog to see reviews and I am glad to have come across this page! I havebeen conversing with someone from there and the oprices seem outrageous to me. And to hear they're not even the percentage they claim or not wolf hybrids at all upsets me. I would much rather rescue a already in need of a home hybrid who needs the family and land and stability vs a cute puppy that isn't even wolf.

  11. Is there breeders out there that you can recommend... That are honest and good to there babies? (That is how I look at my animals. They are my babies.)

I just don't know who to trust now. After reading all this. So glad I came across this blog though. Any recommendation on good breeders would be appricated.

  12. PLEASE PLACE PAMELA ODEN FROM ZIONS DEN ON HERE. She claims low/no as 75%. She claims to have papers of the parents which came from a fake registry and breeder (idaho wolves unlimited/ midnight wolf den) I have those papers from a lady she scammed. Papers say parents and grandparents of the pups on her pages parents are 100% wolf.red, black, timber, Mckenzie. She said they are all mixed into one. Smh.

  18. I'm Stacy in AZ, wolfhybridoasis.com. I send pictures all the time and invite people to come visit our pack. When I talk with someone about our hybrids, I tell them what the breeders told us the content was, but that we disagreed with it and viewed it as lower. We charge lower prices, including our extremely high content cubs, which frustrates some people. I invite you to visit my webpage, visit our home, and call at any time to assess for yourself. 520-256-5803

  19. This is crap. I got a wolf from Star Cross wolfs about 1 year ago. She is a high content and looks like a pure breed wolf. I even got a DNA test because I heard he was a bad breeder after seeing crap like this. The test came back and he did not lie about the dog. You are just like all the rest of the people out there. Just saying what you hear. It is called rumors! People like you just say what others say. Tell me did you go to all of these breeders houses and see there dogs? Did you go and spent time at there places to see. What is really going on? No of course not you just spread hate and lies!

    1. You got a DNA test eh? You do know there are no genetic markers that differentiate a wolf from a dog since they are the same species. So that "DNA test" is useless and you most likely never had one done because you just suggested that your DNA test told you it had part wolf. Anyone who knows what's what about wolfdogs would know you are simply lying.

  20. Back in December 2012 I picked up a Wolf-Dog from Star Cross Wolves. I got myself one, and my mom and dad a few months older one. The one that I got turned out great. I know he isn't the advertised percentage but he turned out to be a healthy, good natured wolf-dog.
The one that we got for my Mom was the last of a litter and a little skinnier than the others but he had a great attitude. After watching him slow in his development my mom took him to the vet and found out the he was born without hip sockets. Rather than do a surgery we just kept an eye on him, gave him Dasuquin and something for the pain and he now is feeling a lot better. She did some hydro-therapy and some other therapies but originally he didn't use his back legs independently. He would bounce his back legs together to get anywhere. Now he uses them more independently most of the time unless he gets real tired or sore.
We didn't learn our lesson though. Mine (Bilge-Rat) had a touch of separation anxiety when I would have to leave the house for work (usually work from home) so we got him a companion. Actually, we got 3 more total for the family so my healthy year old dog now got a brother to keep him company. My Mon’s with Hip Dysplasia got a brother, and my brother got a female. Grand total we have 5 from him.
Of this second batch the one that we got was missing 1 hip socket on his right side. We got him into some hydro-therapy to teach him to use his legs independently, we have used laser therapy and acupuncture on him, and give him daily supplements that help with the symptoms.
The point I wanted to make was that of the 5 puppies we received from http://www.starcrosswolves.com/scw/litters.php , 2 of them have serious genetic issues. We brought them up with the owner and he got defensive about it not believing that he could have “sold a dog that was injured.”
Also, we just got genetic results back today on one of them and it is only 25 percent gray wolf. (Shepherd 28, and Husky 24, were higher percentage, also had some Chow Chow in there and Alaskan Malamute.) On his page, he claims that all the ones that he sells are in the 90s, but ours is only in the 20s. We suspected but now we know for sure.

    1. If you were so set on going for a wolfdog how is that you didn't know the good breeders? They are well known in the wolfdog community and their breeding stock is always put through the battery of tests that any good breeder of any dog does. That is very poor research on your part which leads me to question if you even know anything about owning, containing, and training wolfdogs.

Also DNA tests cannot differentiate between a dog and wolf because they are the same species. There are no genetic markers that differentiate the two from each other. Please do not lie.

  21. Hi Rick! How are ya? I know that there is a lot of controversy about the DNA tests which is why I listed it in a very small paragraph as an afterthought. I'm less concerned about the percentage as I am about the medical issues (All documented by our vets) that our wolfdogs have that we got from StarCrossedWolves. 2 of the 5 that we received had that same Hip issue. As to your questioning how much I know about them? My family got a wolfdog back in 1990 when there wasn't an internet or a whole lot of books so we had to talk to the breeder back then and learned a lot from him. Then there was the trial and error that every pet-parent goes through that we learned from. We went a stretch of about 20 years without a wolfdog in the house while I was in the military but when I retired I knew I wanted to get back into living with them. They bring something different to the family that a dog doesn't. When I searched around the different wolf hybrid websites and things in 2012 I didn't see the issues that people had with StarCrossedWolves. I didn't actually find those issues until after we had his wolves for 2 years and we started seeing the symptoms that I described above. I'm not going to go on debating or arguing with you. My opinion and my vet's opinion and my family's opinion is that people should buy wolf-dogs from StarCrossedWolves. You are right. There are a lot better breeders out there and in the future we'll use one of them instead. Thanks for your opinion.

  23. Ok, I got a wolfdog from a private non commercial breeder, a NICE young couple, I did vet them and good background. The mother was higher content wolf and father siberian husky. She and bf has a dog walking and sitting VISIBLE busisness as well, they were new age hippy dippy too, so thought very legit. I am NEW so trusted what they said and had exact percentages of the pups, and thought they would NOT sell fake pups and be HONEST, they were dog nuts. The one my wife found was a white pup absolutely beautiful, and had the physical wolf look, LOW HEAD, CURVED BACK, STRAIGHT FACE, LONGER NOSE, LONG LEGS WITH LITTLE FIR, NO CHEST AT ALL, UNUSUAL TAIL THAT POINTS DOWNWARDS and does not bark at all. Took her to the vet for shots, and the Vet asked what breed, we just said HUSKY he stated THIS IS NO HUSKY. her size was large for 8 weeks old and he said this dog's body structure is more like a coyote lol. So decided to do Embark and it said NO WOLF AT ALL! I am just shocked, so O am going to get a second opinion and contacting the seller this week. Can she be just a DOG with physical traits like this?
